Shorrock Supercharger Pulleys in Stock!

I picked up the 3-groove crankshaft pulleys today, and mighty fine they look too!

CNC machined from HE15 grade aluminium, the pulley is an exact match to the Shorrock original. The original 1 7/16" Triumph pulley nut was never a good fit inside the Shorrock pulley - it was impossible to get a socket over it - so I've had slightly smaller 1 3/8" pulley nuts machined from EN8 grade steel that you can get a socket on.

Weight wise there's a huge saving. The Shorrock pulley and nut total 2 kilos whereas the aluminium pulley and nut are less than half that at 900 grams!

They will fit the Triumph Herald/Spitfire 1147cc and early small crank 1296cc engines. If you want one, drop me a line to website2008@gingell.com, as I doubt I'll have them for long.

Anyone know the whereabouts of Matt Smith?

Several years back at Stoneleigh I bought a Kipping exhaust manifold off a chap called Matt Smith. Matt owns a Black and White Herald Saloon, and I recently found these pictures of Matt's Herald. I'm trying to get hold of Matt, but the contact details I once had are no longer valid, so if you know of Matt, can you get him to drop me an email at website2008@gingell.com. Cheers!

Please note all photographs are copyright Matt Smith.

Shorrock Supercharged Badge

I'd been following this one on eBay for past week. It sat at around £50 for most of that time, and as usual with eBay most of the activity was in the closing minutes.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200206795425

With an hour and a half to go the price was up to £70, then £85.

With forty five seconds to go it jumped to £202, then three more bids in the last 15 seconds £221, £240, with a closing bid of £245 clinching it.

Moral of the story - if you ever see one of these at a car boot or autojumble going cheap, buy it!

Shorrock Inlet Manifold

Here's a couple of pictures of the Shorrock inlet manifold suitable for the 1147 head. Unfortunately the manifold fits a little too close to the side of the head to allow a branch exhaust manifold to clear on number 2 and number 3. So I'm hoping to modify the flanges to set it out by approximately ½" or so.

Want a NEW Shorrock Supercharger Pulley?

My original Shorrock Supercharger Pulley is a bit chipped and damaged - not sure how that happened - so I'm getting the pulley remade in alloy.

While I'm getting one made, it makes sense to get a few made to help keep the costs down. I already have a couple of people interested in new pulleys, I'm going to keep a spare one for myself, so let me know if you want one too.

You can write to me at website2008@gingell.com.

Here's the damaged original -
