Tired of trawling the internet looking for the right car ?

A few years ago while looking for a Triumph Vitesse, I put together a simple utility for searching various classified and auction websites called Ad Finder. It's kind of evolved over the years, but recently Firefox 2.0 and Internet Explorer 7.0 have started to support the OpenSearch web standard. This is great as I can now standardise development and support the following websites -

* adtrader.co.uk
* autotrader.co.uk
* classiccarsforsale.co.uk
* club.triumph.org.uk
* exchangeandmart.co.uk
* eBay.co.uk Classic Cars
* freeads.co.uk
* loot.com
* preloved.co.uk
* pistonheads.com
* trovit.co.uk
* ukphoneinfo.com
* Google Maps UK

The upshot is you can now search over 10 websites in a matter of minutes directly from your browser's search engine without having to re-key your search criteria each time.

Or if you prefer, you can launch your browser's sidebar and do all the searching from there.

To get started, go to :

www.gingell.com/adfinder

If you have any favourite websites you'd like to add to Ad Finder then let me know.

Enjoy!
